The short answer

Yes, within limits. A non-surgical face lift at our spa is a radio-frequency facial. It does not move tissue the way a surgeon does. It warms the deeper layers of the skin so the surface may look firmer and smoother for a while. Many clients notice a subtle lift along the jaw and cheeks after a few sessions. The change is gradual, it is temporary, and it varies from person to person.

If you expect the result of a surgical face lift from a 60-minute facial, you will be disappointed. If you want a modest, natural refresh with no incisions and no downtime, this is one of the services we recommend most often. The rest of this guide explains what the facial does, what it cannot do, and who tends to leave happy.

What an RF lifting facial actually does

Radio frequency is a form of energy that creates gentle warmth below the surface of the skin. Our RF Face and Neck Facial uses a handpiece that glides over the face, jawline, and neck while the skin reaches a warm, comfortable temperature. The idea is simple. Warmth in the deeper layers may encourage the skin to look tighter and more toned over the weeks that follow.

We cannot promise a specific result, and no spa honestly can. What we can say is that the sensation is mild, the session is relaxing, and the look of the skin often improves for a period of time. Results vary with age, skin thickness, sun history, and how consistently you return. You can read the full outline on our non-surgical face lift page.

What surgery does that a facial cannot

A surgical face lift repositions skin and the tissue beneath it. A surgeon removes excess skin and anchors the rest in a higher position. That is why surgery can address heavy jowls, deep folds, and significant laxity in the neck. It requires anesthesia, incisions, and weeks of recovery, and the results last for years.

An RF facial does none of that. It does not remove skin. It does not reposition anything. It works only on the look and firmness of the skin that is already there. For mild to moderate laxity, that may be enough to make a visible difference. For advanced sagging, it is not a substitute for a consultation with a surgeon. We say this plainly, because a facial that oversells itself is not worth $250.

What a lifted look means, and why it fades

When clients describe a lifted look after a series, they usually mean three things. The jawline looks a little more defined. The cheeks look slightly fuller and higher. The skin on the neck looks smoother and less crepey. None of these are dramatic on their own. Together they may read as a rested, firmer version of your face.

It helps to take a photo in the same light before your first session and again after your series. Changes that are easy to miss day to day are often clearer side by side. We also ask clients to judge the result at six to eight weeks, not the next morning. Some firmness may show right away because of the warmth, but the more lasting part of the effect tends to build slowly.

Skin responds to warmth over time, not in an afternoon. That is why we recommend a series rather than a single visit. After the series, the look typically fades over several months as the skin returns to its usual state. Maintenance sessions may extend it, but nothing we do here stops aging. Temporary is not a flaw. It is the trade-off for a service with no incisions, no anesthesia, and no recovery period. You can have a session at lunch and go back to work.

Who tends to be happy with it

The clients who leave happiest usually share a few traits. They are in their thirties to sixties with mild to moderate laxity. They want to look refreshed rather than different. They are willing to commit to a series and to return for maintenance. They understand that this is a cosmetic service, not a surgical one, and they judge results by the mirror rather than by a promise.

Clients who tend to be less satisfied are those with very loose skin, those who want a single session to do the work of six, and those who expect a surgical-level change. We would rather tell you that before you book than after.

What a session and a series look like

The RF Face and Neck Facial is $250 and lasts 60 minutes. We cleanse the skin, apply a conductive gel, and pass the RF handpiece across the face and neck in slow, overlapping strokes. The warmth builds gradually and stays within a comfortable range. We check in with you throughout.

After the energy portion, we apply a 24K gold and black caviar mask. The mask is a soothing, rich step that helps the skin feel calm and hydrated after the warmth. It is also the part of the session most clients remember. The facial ends with a light moisturizer and sunscreen.

A typical starting point is a series of four to six sessions, spaced about one to two weeks apart. After that, many clients return every one to two months to maintain the look. Our pricing page lists current rates, and we can talk through a plan at your first visit. Affirm financing is available for larger plans, and parking at Hulen Mall is free.

How can I lift my saggy face without surgery?

RF facials are one route. There are others, and each has limits. LED skin tightening uses light rather than warmth and may support a firmer-looking surface over time. A cryotherapy facial uses a chilled applicator in brief, controlled passes and may temporarily reduce the look of puffiness. Consistent sunscreen, sleep, and hydration do more than most people expect. To compare the options for skin that has lost firmness, see our skin tightening page.

What none of these do is replace surgery for significant sagging. If your main concern is heavy jowls or a loose neck, a non-surgical plan may soften the look but will not fix it. An honest consultation, with us or with a surgeon, is the right first step.

Can RF skin tightening go wrong?

RF facials are generally well tolerated when performed carefully, but no service is risk-free. The most common effects are mild and short. Expect warmth during the session and some pinkness afterward, which usually fades within a few hours. Occasionally a client notices tenderness or a small area of swelling that settles on its own. We keep the energy in a comfortable range and move the handpiece continuously so heat does not build in one spot.

We also turn some clients away, and we want to explain why. Radio frequency is electrical energy. It can interfere with a pacemaker or an implanted defibrillator, so we do not perform the facial on anyone who has one. Metal implants in the face or neck, including some plates and dental hardware, can concentrate heat, so we avoid passing over them. We also skip the facial if you are pregnant, have an active skin infection, have had recent surgery in the area, or have a condition that affects how your skin reacts to temperature, such as cold urticaria. These are cosmetic services, not medical care. If you are unsure whether the facial is right for you, talk to your physician first.

Questions about this guide

How many RF facials do I need before I see a change?

A typical starting point is four to six sessions, one to two weeks apart. Some clients notice a firmer feel after the first visit, but the more visible change tends to show between sessions and at six to eight weeks. Results vary.

Does the RF facial hurt?

No. Most clients describe it as a warm massage. The handpiece stays within a comfortable range, and we adjust it if anything feels too warm. Mild pinkness afterward is common and usually fades the same day.

How long does the lifted look last?

It is temporary. After a series, many clients find the look holds for several months before gradually fading. Maintenance sessions every one to two months may extend it. Individual results vary.

Treatments at Vearitea Wellness Spa are cosmetic and wellness services, not medical care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Results vary from person to person. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, cold urticaria, an active skin infection, or have had recent surgery, talk to your physician before booking.
