The honest short answer

Yes, to a degree. For mild to moderate laxity, radio-frequency and LED facials may leave skin looking firmer and smoother over several weeks. Many clients notice a subtle change along the jawline, the cheeks, and the neck after a short series. Expect something slow and modest that fades with time, and expect your result to differ from someone else's.

For significant sagging, the answer is no. The rest of this guide explains where that line sits, what RF and LED may each do on their own, and a simple mirror test to help you decide which side of the line you are on.

What sagging actually is

Skin loosens for a few overlapping reasons. With age and sun exposure, the collagen and elastin that keep skin springy thin out. The soft-tissue pads under the skin shift and shrink. The deeper support layers loosen. Gravity does the rest.

This matters because non-surgical methods work at the level of the skin itself. They may encourage the skin to look firmer and more even. They do not reach the deeper support structures. If most of the sagging you see comes from the skin, non-surgical work has something to offer. If most of it comes from what is underneath, it has much less.

What RF warmth may do

Our RF Face and Neck Facial is $250 for 60 minutes. A handpiece delivers radio-frequency energy designed to warm the skin beneath the surface while the surface stays comfortable. The warmth is the point. Over the following weeks, the skin may respond to that warmth by looking tighter and more supported.

Most people feel a steady, pleasant heat, similar to a warm stone resting on the face. Most clients return to their day right away. The session ends with a 24K gold and black caviar mask. Many clients notice a firmer look partway through a series, and the effect tends to build with repeated sessions. A typical starting point is four to six sessions spaced one to two weeks apart, followed by occasional maintenance. For a fuller description, see our skin tightening page.

What LED adds

Our LED Skin Tightening Facial is also $250 for 60 minutes. It uses the Perfectio X, which combines red and infrared light, and the Sapphire X, which emits blue light at 415 nanometers. Both are FDA-cleared Class II devices. That clearance covers the device itself, not any particular result on your skin.

LED does not heat the skin the way RF does. Red and infrared light is held over the skin for a set time and may support a smoother, more even surface over weeks of regular sessions. Blue light is more often chosen for congestion than for laxity. Clients who want a gentler route, or who want to pair light with RF on alternating visits, often choose this facial. You can read how the colors differ on our LED facial page.

What non-surgical tightening cannot do

We would rather say this plainly than let you find out after you have paid. RF and LED cannot lift heavy jowls back to where they were ten years ago. They cannot tighten loose bands in the neck. They cannot take up excess skin left behind after a large change in body size. They cannot replace a surgical face lift or a neck lift, and they do not come close for anyone whose skin has moved a long way.

They also do not last on their own. The firmer look many clients notice fades over months as the skin keeps aging. Keeping it means returning for maintenance. If that pattern does not appeal to you, it is better to know now.

A simple way to decide

Stand in front of a mirror in daylight. Place one fingertip at the edge of your jaw and lift gently, with almost no pressure. If a very light touch is enough to show the look you want, your laxity is likely mild to moderate, and a non-surgical series may give you a version of that look. If you have to pull firmly, or if a fold of skin gathers under your finger, you are probably in surgical territory.

Then ask yourself three questions. How much change would make you happy? How much budget and time are you willing to give it? How do you feel about downtime? Non-surgical work wins on the last question and loses on the first. If the honest answer is that you want a large, lasting change, a board-certified plastic surgeon is the right first conversation, and we will tell you that in the chair.

What a realistic series looks like

A single session gives you a feel for the warmth and the room. It rarely gives you a visible change. If you decide to continue with LED, our facial packages pair LED facials with daily products. Bronze is two LED facials and one daily product for $550. Silver is three facials and two products for $800. Gold is four facials and three products for $1,100. RF sessions are priced per session at $250. Details are on our packages page.

We suggest taking a photo before your first session in the same light you will use later. Memory is a poor judge of gradual change. After the series, many clients return every four to eight weeks to hold the look. Results vary, and some people see less than they hoped. We prefer to set that expectation early rather than oversell it.

Who should check with a physician first

Everything we offer at our Hulen Mall spa in Fort Worth is a cosmetic service, not medical care. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, have cold urticaria, have an active skin infection, or have had recent surgery, talk to your physician before booking. The same goes for skin conditions such as rosacea, melasma, or eczema. A dermatologist is the right first step for those, and we are happy to work alongside that advice.

If you are generally healthy and your laxity is on the milder side, a short series is a reasonable way to judge the result for yourself. We will give you a straight opinion at your first visit. Sometimes that opinion is that we are not the right fit, and we would rather say so.

Questions about this guide

How long does non-surgical skin tightening last?

Results vary. Many clients notice a firmer look for a few months after a series, and it fades gradually as the skin continues to age. Occasional maintenance sessions every four to eight weeks are a typical way to hold the effect.

Does RF skin tightening hurt?

Most people describe it as a steady, comfortable warmth. The handpiece is kept moving during the session. Some clients notice mild, temporary pinkness afterward. Reactions vary. Downtime is not usually needed.

Can I combine RF and LED in one visit?

They are booked as separate facials. Some clients alternate the two on different visits. Tell us at booking what you are hoping to change and we will suggest an order and spacing that may suit your skin.

Treatments at Vearitea Wellness Spa are cosmetic and wellness services, not medical care, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Results vary from person to person. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, cold urticaria, an active skin infection, or have had recent surgery, talk to your physician before booking.
